The Master’s Puppets and Drama Team is an exciting and dynamic group of teens and adults that regularly perform for our own church and beyond. Members have been as young as twelve and adults of all ages participate.
The name of the group came about through an introspective look at who we are as Christ’s followers . As Christians, we always want to do God’s will and it is our deepest desire to give the Lord the lead in our lives. Similarly, puppets and actors need our lead in order to act and carry out our will. But the Master’s Puppets are more than a puppet ministry. The group functions as a drama team made up of a wonderful and dedicated group of teens and adults that get together each Tuesday night from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, to learn and practice presentations for upcoming events.
In addition to this puppet and drama display, other forms of presentation include singing, signing, and human videos (acting out short skits). And of course there is always a rich back drop of music and videos that enhance each and every performance.
This group has performed at places like Long Creek Baptist Church, Woodland Baptist Church, Spring Fest at First Baptist Church in Thomson, Kentwood Nursing Home in Augusta, local festivals, puppet competitions in Anderson SC, as well as annual mission trips. This year (2015) the group will be going on a mission’s trip to West Virginia for the fifth time.
Mission Statement:“If we can have a few minutes to take somebody’s mind off of their troubles, issues, or worries, and bring them laughter, and a smiling face, and show them the love of Jesus, then we’ve done what we’ve set out to do.”
Currently, the membership for the Master’s Puppets is open for active members, and they are always in need of extra help in the way of running sound or lights, building and managing props, and of course prayer. Please contact Sandra Todd through this website for more information.

We have a great club for kids on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm. We have Nursery for toddlers and babies and our Kidz Club group is for younger children ages four through fifth grade and we can average up to ten. We start with a little snack or meal. Then we move on to a Bible story lesson and we’ll have an activity that relates to the material. The kids really enjoy the fellowship and have a great time!

A few years ago, the ladies of our church hosted an event for foreign missionaries who came to speak. At the end of several nights, the event concluded with a special Sunday dinner. It was then that the ladies decided to start a group called the “Ladies Circle" . We soon became a close knit group, bonded together by love. In fact, we always closed each meeting by joining hands, and standing in a circle of prayer. And that's how we came to be called the “Ladies Circle of Love” .
On the third Monday night of each month, we begin our meeting with a meal which we will have asked one or two people to provide. Following the meal, we have a devotional time, and then we focus our attention on the business matters of the group including the planning of social activities for the church. We also organize particular projects such as collections for the “burn barrel” (a resource for those who have lost their homes due to fire), meals for shut ins, help for the men’s group with their “wild game supper”, and much more.
We are a dependable group ladies who care about each other, and our church. And we are here to help and serve any of the needs that may arise within our church and amongst our members. If you are free to join us, please do, and become a part of our wonderful fellowship!
The Men's Brotherhood meets the second Sunday morning of each month at 7:00 am. We have a really fine group of men who are faithful and dedicated, with big hearts that are ready to serve.
Each meeting begins with a fellowship meal, which is sometimes followed by a special speaker . The latter part of our meetings usually include a time of business, when we work on special needs projects.
We have tackled fund raising plans, maintenance issues and more. Recently, we implemented the installation of a new restroom in the foyer of our church. Also, we raised funds to replace the worn out doors on our storage building and arranged to have our church carpets professionally cleaned.
We are very proud of our Men's Brotherhood and the caring and united fellowship that we have. We've really grown over the years and we are now bigger and better than we've ever been! Our fellowship needs you, so that together, we might serve our church, our members, and our community. Come and be a part of us as we carry God's mandate forward.
