Several of our members go with the Kilpatrick Baptist Association to West Virginia for a week each year to help spread the Good News through Vacation Bible School throughout the Bluefield West Virginia area.
Our church contributes or donates to the following local outreaches through "The Gap" (*Family Connections):
-Food Pantry
-Glascock County Concerned Citizens For Cancer Committee
*Family Connections is a partnership of several organi- zations working together, and is present in every county in Georgia. It is the largest state wide network of communities in the nation that have made a commitment to improve results for children and families, and to work together to address those needs.
Gibson First Baptist Church is associated with the Kilpatrick Baptist Association which is under the umbrella of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and the Southern Baptist Convention.
Our church gives regularly to the following causes through these ministry partners:
- North American Missions through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.
- International Missions through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
- Georgia Baptist Children's Home Project

Additionally, the Kilpatrick Baptist Association periodically collects food items for the annual Children’s Home Project; donations are made in the month of May

-Liquid Laundry Detergent
-Dishwasher Detergent
-Graham & Saltines Crackers
-English Peas
-Syrup
-Instant Potatoes & Instant Rice
-Gift Cards

In 2015, 59 children made professions of faith wile in the care of the Children's Home group homes!!!
